Time lapse offers a very specific style of video. In a nutshell, the camera is kept in exactly the same position over a period of time and takes a picture at selected intervals, whether every 1, 2, 5, 10 seconds and so on. At the end of the time lapse period, the stills are then all put together to create a fast motion effect.
These are particularly popular for building sites and exhibition events. The videos give an audience an insight as to how busy an event was, or how long it took to erect a building for example. This type of video can have a powerful effect and can really showcase time as a visual.
